Here is a new image I've been working on... still needs a lot of work yet but I thought I'd get a quit crit first. Anything you see that should be changed or made clearer? Overall I have the main color scheme laid down and its just a matter of refining the details but I wanted to see if you think the details should be worked over tightly or left loose... also let me know if you think the little mini-narrative is coming through. thanks

I like this pic. The back-drop behind the trees are well done, gives a sense of depth. I don't know where the light source is coming from whether around the bend or from behind the sword. I see a few other objects near the sword but can't make them out.
