I figured that darth maul was the initiation right for every new digital artist, so I set out to draw him. It's tough finding a good pose of him, but I found one that I like. I've worked on this for about 3 and a half hours, and I've found alot of fundamental errors. I'm posting it up to see if anyone can spot one that I missed before I continue adding volume. (The head was too narrow until about 15 minute ago. :eek C&C are much appreciated, seeing how this is my first serious digital painting.

Thanks everyone!
Frank

it's not finished yet, but there's a major crit here - his shoulders are way too small... either that, or he has a huge head

this is rather nice for a first serious digital painting

thanks for catching that mr. t. I widened the shoulders and made a few other adjustments (toned down the red and made it a bit more pink.) and then added the ear and finished adding volume to the right side of the face.
here's an update:

any comments are welcome.

yup. very nice mr. t. I used your pic for some reference on the lines on the face (the pic I am drawing off of reeks. it's wee!)
and his shoulders are really smaller than I made them in the picture. I promise! heh.
