set the layer to overlay or color dodge. the reason that they disappeared is that multiply uses the colors in that layer to make whats under it darker. white doesnt affect the layers at all, while black makes the most difference. |

Hello all,
I've had trouble colouring hilights in photoshop. I set a new layer and began painting white - then switched it to multiply, but the layer disappeared. I couldn't figure out how to add hilights to this picutre.. Could anyone enlighten me on how to add hilights on a new layer without breaking the outlines? Thanks..

P.S. Any hints on making this better? And does anyone have any tutorials on drawing snow and clouds - I just ran a couple of filters 'cause my snow and clouds just didn't cut it.. well hell this picture just doesn't cut it either. hahahaha. ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |
