long time lurker, first time I'm posting anything of mine... Watching the progress and processes of everyone on here is interesting,, so I thought I'd post some snapshots of steps in a piece I'm a bit stalled out on... Lemme know what you guys think. It's the first in an imagined series of barrow-wight-like people. Sort of an Odd Nerdrum-inspired thing, really... Thoughts anyone?
By the way, my site is somewhat dysfunctional right now... The only area that has much in it is here:

The figure is quite good. I'm actually more interested in the background...do you have something in mind already, or are you just laying in colour values? I'd love to know how you transform what you have now to a finished background of some kind. BGs always tend to cause me problems when I work in colour. |
