This came to me as a visual idea, with no backstory, so I don't really know what's going on here. I mean I can guess, but I thought it might be fun to let others have a go too.
Guys, please let me know what this movie is all about.
Hey, I'm kinda proud I got this far without any reference... I failed with the color though, as usual, so I nuked it. If anybody wants to colorize this please do! And any other c&c...

Police: "You bastard, take a look at what you've done!"
I really like this painting, no, i don't go around and say that randomly, i really mean it. Without much details, the character in the pic show me alot of expression. LOOK at the guy in that suit! I can feel his fear!
The chain and the naked(?) person at left corner create mystery to this pic. For some reason, the naked person remind me of the doll in this creepy painting that was circulating through the net like crazy.

God, there's so much I like in it, but so many things seem so wrong...
The policeman's face is just brilliant. He's stern and forward and he appears to have the upper hand, despite being almost sort of a Bobby (British stick-walk officer), and therefore easily victim to the gun-toting... maniac? Husband? Misguided friend? That's where I get conflicted. I can't work out just why he's shrinking up, especially with (what I feel are) his empty eyes.
Hmm. Perhaps he is mistakenly identified by the girl. Maybe she was just attacked by someone else, who is getting away, and the man -- who came to save her -- is watching the perpetrator escape, and is caught red-handed in the wrong situation. This would explain his face, and the fact that he's recoiling when apprehended. It's very film noir.
In fact, yeah, that's what's going on. The cop is grabbing one man -- the good one -- and they both are seeing the other escape. The cop is pointing at him: "Stop! You!"
This is so fucking cool.
I wanna color it. Give me a day and I'll post it up on this thread. ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

hi,
I like the picture very much. The emotion and the feelings, it's just great.
I also don't know what's it about. It reminds me a bit of WW2, because of the gun, it looks like an old Luger which was standard side-arm of the german soldiers. But the uniforms aren't german, so it couldn't be this expression. The left person must be a girl. Look at her legs, only women sit like this.
It's very misterious because we don't know why the man in the middle is so afraid and what the two man are looking at. It could be something like "Jack the Ripper 2"
However, I don't know what's it about...

Mee first. Three colors. Don't know if this is anything close to what you had in mind. Just couldn't resist. Great drawing!
It looks to me like a German commander is accusing one of his men of caring for an enemy prisoner, and he has grabbed him and yelled, "Are YOU the one that attended to his wounds!! You bastard! You traitor! He's the fucking ENEMY!!"

I just paint on another layer with blending set to color(sometimes, depends on the darkness/contrast of the image, you can also use other blending like multiple, soft light, hard light, or whatever else that looks good). Actually, it might have been one of the other blendings. I flattened it, so I can't check.
It's PS, BTW. I don't use Painter much, but that might change. |

i see
"NO! not that girl! we arent done with her yet, shoot that one over there!"
both men in the same uniform, so they have to be talking about something on "their" side....
or maybe
"when your done with this one, we need those three"
they look german, the hat and the gun... and the uniform jacket... maybe its schindlers list...

"Fool!! Don't shoot the bitch until I've had my way with her. Tie her up over there and you can have whats left."
Sick, I know, but that's what came to me when I first saw it... ![](images/smiles/icon_redface.gif) |

Constable Care says:
Water pistols can hurt like mace,
if they're squirted too close to the face!
It's a very strong image, Steve. Well done! I originally thought it was a nazi officer ordering his troops to kill in cold blood, too. |

the guy being jostled is another cop isn't he?
cop in the hat: "You will not disobey me twice, or you'll find yourself on the wrong end of the gun! NOW SHOOT HIM!"
( i think they're cops because of the straps *shrug* )

I get a more sinister impression from this - that being a Nazi type commander ordering a soldier to shoot the cowering prisoner in cold blood. The gun looks like a Luger too... |
