What do you think?

Iv been asked to do a CD cover for a musician from Italy and this is what I have come up with so far.
I got the idea from one of my other pictures (Rayna Brightmoon). I tried to listen to the musician’s music for inspiration, however, although the music is good it’s inconsistent. One song may be gothic another may be fantasy and the next will be techno.

Anyway, What I wanted to do is maybe work on the background a little more to incorporate some instruments or something that would fit the title of the CD better (Without being too obvious).

Maybe have the mountain range be that of a flute.?.

The musician, by the way, plays the Flute and piano/keyboard.

very nice. this musican asked me too. but i can't do things like that. i know the musik and i wanted to do something dreamy and i think you got this very well. only thing is the font. seems a bit oriental, i think it doesn't really fin in the rest of the picture. but really good work!

Yea, I figuerd he would have asked several others. Hell, I would. But now that I know for sure I may just say the hell with it continue with what I was doing before.

I like it. There are parts of the picture which need a little more work like the mountains but it's pretty good yup.

The thing that's annoying me is the font at the top. It's just um, really ugly. Also are you not going to include the musician's name on it?

Well, I'm not going to do his CD cover now. However, I will still continue with the picture.

"the font at the top" What? the clouds? if so, yea it needs work

If its her head, well, yea it too can use some work...

ha he must have spammed everyone! i got an email from him as well, but didnt like his music so couldn't be assed doing anything for him.

LOL!!! the guy spammed me as well. I had a good laugh about it and looked at his site and then had a bigger laugh. Then forgot completely about it. Funny thing is i've uploaded didley squat that would indicate I might have the skills to be able to do anything for this guy... But he must have got my email from here from my profile as i'm guessing he got everyone elses.

BTW nice work Snakebyte...i'd strip out all the stuff that links it to the cd and keep it to yourself, maybe thats harsh on the poor muso guy but thats what i'd do.

I got the exact same email that Socar posted in that thread. I listened to his music and thought, "did he even look at my work?, nothing I have posted here is even remotely appropriate for his style"

I never did get back to him, of course I don't feel so bad about it now.

Your cover does fit well with his music though.

Here it is...I feel kinda scared to show my work cuz everyone is so good, Ive never posted work on here befre, and I'm really bad at knowing where to upload my images as I am having trouble building my website.....yes, a true newbie, but here it is....if it dosen't work then trying clicking
