Hi Sean,
I agree that the Deltoid need to be brought a bit further down on the arm. It also seems to me that you spent a great deal of time on the torso textures and not so much on the rest. What Happened? the textures on the torso are well done, I would have liked to see the same detail in the legs and arms.
Excellent work on the whole, hope we can see more in the future. |

Cogswell College in Sunnyvale, Ca. It's the only fully accredited college in the US with a BA that includes game design. Check it out at www.cogswell.edu (though the site is pretty poor the game production classes are awesome). |

I like it, good detail and colors (hands look great). One thing that I think is strange is the right foot tip, is it a smoothing group that makes that sharpe edge at the end? |

Thanks for the comments everyone.
maceface- Thanks, The model comes in at 3k polys, tri's that is.
Crakbeenie- Yeah there are some parts that really could be adjusted, my advise to everyone is, not to bone and setup your guy if you want to fix him later
Jon Moss- Haha yeah its a pretty extreme pose, I was inspired by another artist who loves to do poses like that, he goes by Alphwolf
Herr.O- Yeah the hands are a little extreme for a game model but since I failed miserably on my last model at hands I decided to give them a little more work this time. And as for the smoothing group on the feet, I didnt set angle range high enough for that edge to be smoothed. I guess I over looked it in a mad rush to get the thing done ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Wow, they're very impressive models, both SeanW's and Crepusculums. Great work, guys, this game course must be very benefitial.
SeanW, I take it your demon-type guys going to be a low-poly character? He looks like a mean SOB, I give you that. Terrific work on the texture!
Just some polishing crits - I think the boots look wrong with those flat-ended toes. Try rounding them out more, giving the faces the same smoothing group or go the whole log and give his claws on his feet.
Crepusculum, your's is a high-poly model, right? He's got a very nice original character design, and the textures are superb, too, especially the canvas on his bed-roll. His boots look heavy-duty! Nice!
Be wary about where you're putting the hilites on your character's textures. There's some strong hilites on the sides of your models torso, Crepusculum, but wouldn't that part of the model recieve less light than the tops of shoulders or the arms? I'd tweak the hilites on those wrinkles in the torso down just a little bit.
Well done, guys, keep it up! |

yeah, I agree with the boots, they are the least focused part of my model. I'll fix that up and make it look pretty. And now that I think of it I shouldnt have lit my guy in max, the texture doesnt really have those hot spots its just the way I lit it. |

Sean- I like both the models you posted (this and the one in the finished board). Pretty solid texture work, especially in the torso. The only thing I would say the his forearm muscles look strange from the front view.. it looks like there is too large a gap between the muscles.
Steve- Slick model. It looks close to the original sketch. Texture is nice, especially on the tent roll (as was said earlier) and the shoulders and boots. It strikes me as too bright overall, unless that's from the lighting. It could use deeper shadows in the pants and shirt, and maybe on the metal.
out of curiosity--are there any models in this mod that don't have bandages wrapped around their legs? :P
