I'm doing character concepts for a race of gothic elves. This is one of my latest drawings. I'd like to hear what you think of the drawing and get feedback on more ideas around this concept. Thanks ![](http://home.byu.net/~kcc24/sijun/GOTHELF5.JPG) |

I like it!
I would suggest that that you might try to give it a single point of color, like maybe blue lipstick? (very Enki Bilal suggestion, I know.) |

Personally I think a race of gothic gerbils are more entertaining but oh well! I like what you've done with the boots, I would love to acquire a pair of those I think they'd be a lot of fun. I think you could do something more interesting with the way the front of the vest is cinched, buckles and straps, ties, zig zag pattern or something? If done right it could work with the flow of the skirt more. Hmm ... mayhap she'd look interesting with some fishnet work under the vest. Tattoos are always a plus. Tapered sleeves to the gloves may be of interest to? You could also go more wild with the hair. |

good idea- the more buckles and straps the better. blue lipstick has possibilities too. . .

Well if your looking for more concepts, i would suggest looking up drow. The dnd underground elves. For this picture, maybe some veins or sticks in the hair, make her look wild. Maybe some real sloppy make-up around the eyes, for the "goth" thing. I dunno a cape maybe? |

Assuming you actually mean "goth" and not "gothic" she needs a few more things: Runny mascara, ripped fishnet stockings, and, oh yeah, make her REALLY ugly.

And fat..
hehe.
I like it! I'd suggest you just look for goth stuff online some more. There's lots of different goths.
I wouldn't go for the buckles and shit. Thats more of punk goth thing to me. I like to believe that real goths have more taste.
Hey..goth..immortal..how about a vampire!
A vampire elf..kind of cool. I wonder who they would suck on.
anyways...I am not of very much help so I guess I'll just shut up now..

You want gothic elves? Well, it looks to me that you already have one. If I were you I'd move on to the next one and leave her the way she is. I think you've captured the theme more than well.
Ok, just for consistancy, I'd change her heels to a more pointy shape, there seems to be spiky shapes every here and there in general.
But like I said, this is it, excellent work! |

Thanks for your comments. The client loved the drawing. These ideas will help me when I'm drawing more of these characters. I'm going to try to explore both goth types- the messy ugly punk type and the more refined medieval type.
