Hey folks. I'm new to this forum (my first post, yay) so be gentle, actually... forget what I said, critique harshly, it's healthy.

I've finally jumped into the digital painting realm head first. No classes, just learning from mistakes (and other people's) I can't color for sha-eet, but I'm trying and trying. I sometimes catch myself staring at a stranger on the bus at 7am, when the sun's rising. I usually get to work with a bloody nose or something, but at least I learnt something Nah, I kicked his ass, you see he...ok, back to my psyco paint babble.

I'm impatient, so I jump around a lot when I draw, which I found out to be very helpful. When I moved onto coloring my work, I chose VERY dark colors, that way you see less mistakes. I think I make forms and shapes well, maybe it's just my eye and you see a mountain instead of a horse. But, the hell with you, it's a damn horse!!

Ok, Here are five things I drew. I moved from harsh lines with colors over it, to just throwing colors around. Let me know if I'm moving in the right direction. On the train picture, I decided to let go of the black, a daredevil feet I may add. But, I think it's turning out ok.

Color splashes:

Getting brighter:

Ah! what the hell, full bright:

I love colors!! Nah, love doesn't hurt at all...puhleeze:

Ok now people, discuss amongst thyselves.

Hmm, pics loaded well for me. I tried at some other computer in a different location. Weird... maybe it's because I put 5 pics there?

I think the train pic shows the best technique overall. The others are hard to distinguish and seem to lack the realism that that one has. I assume thats because you used a reference for that one. The fourth one looks quite good as well. Keep it up.
