something i started at work tonight .. maybe 2 hours total work on it.
it's a picture from the new issue of Maxim. I'm having trouble with the lighting on his face .. the more I erase the worse it looks. maybe it just needs a solid background but that'll come later.
any suggestions/crits/comments?

except for his chin and under his left eye - his face still lacks those "hills" that make a face appear to be male. look at an ape ... it's extremely visible on an ape's face. or touch your own face and seek for spots where you can feel the bone.
unless you add those, shading will always fail, i'm afraid.
sorry, can't describe it any better ... unless you accept a german description ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

i get what you're saying .. there's a little more detail in there than what you can see in the scan, but not much...yet. as i said, far from done, i did the shading just before i left work so i didn't get a lot of time to put much detail into it. i did a little more tonight, which i'll scan later, but it's not much further along at all |
