Im not totally sure what in the name of insanity is going on here but it looks cool as hell. I think what makes it look wrong is that the body of the chick is full of crisp detail while she and her surroundings are rather dull and not defined. Maybe take some time to sharpen the edges of the plants, vines and woman. If you want the piece to flow together put as much time as you put into the body of the woman into the rest of the pic. This is very evident in the foreground. The close plants have far less detail than her body. Dont let it die, it has potential. |

Thanks for the advice! I would have made the picture smaller but you can see some of the detail is already hard to see, if i would have made it any smaller you couldnt see all of it. Ill re-post the picture as soon as i have more done to show you guys. Thanks again for the help!!!! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

if you don't want to give more details to the surroundings, try it the other way round:
the green is too "loud" ... it takes too much attention and leaves nothing for the center part of your art ... which seems to be the most important part of it.
this would also mean that there is too much of those brown thingies filling your picture just to make it a square.
silence the surroundings (fade them out somehow).
make her the important part of the picture and you will see for yourself how to go on and make this one unique.
oh, and ... i agree .. a lot of potential. |
