I have good hopes for it. Not only does the universe look like something out of Bladerunner, but Steven Speilburgh is directing it. He usually turns out good films.

But time will tell.

Does anyone know that Stanley Kubrick wrote A.I. before he died.......Steven Spielberg just took it and directed it....I wish Stanley Kubrick would have lived to do it.

He Surpasses Steven by a million.....

But I have to say that if anyone should do it it should be him.....

A Moment of Silence for Stanley Kubrick(*sob*)

Speilberg is a god compared to Kubrick.

Kubrick directs cinema crap/movies that put you to sleep half the time, with the other half being gold.

Speilberg is consistent gold, man.

Kubrik may have made slow paced movies, but he was more of an artsy filmmaker.....

Speilberg is more of a Classic storyteller....

But my fave will always be Ridley Scott

if you want to get insight in Kubrick's original, look up:

'super toys last all summer long'

it's the short story A.I. was based off of.

it's a good movie, if you like dramas, and if your sense of morality coincides with that of Speilbergs and the traditional conservative american.

the effects are well done and the computer models are very clean. i've worked with the geometry, it was really managable.

i really have utmost respect for all the directors you mentioned for they all are the best in some way or another and I admire each one for his works, but I must say that in my oppinion pixar's john lasseter ranks among the absolute storyteller's elite of today. i think the guy outdoes himself each time pixar releases a new feature- storywise as well as visually. has anyone here seen the new monsters inc. trailer? apart from the great idea for the story, pixar has now managed to make each frame look like a perfect illustration. if you havent seen the trailer download it here and judge for yourself.

but I still can't wait to see A.I., shrek (when it's out here), lord of the rings, atlantis (when it's out here), final fantasy, episode II and all the other great stuff that's waiting for us as well!! roooAARRRR!!
