my one crit so far is the guy on the left looks like the gun is knocking him back...maybe making his stance a little more "secure"...other than that your line work is great!

I like the stance....it shows a lot of weight on his right leg...I dont necessarily think he looks like he's getting pushed back, I think it looks like the guy has a relaxed confident attitude... something about it reminds me of John Wayne...tho i'm sure he never shot no-one standing like that. Must be the bowed leg and the tilted hips.
Having said all that i think the left leg looks in the wrong spot.

the left guys left leg is a bit off. His thigh is to long in my opinion, nd trough that the lower leg looks worng, too. The whole lentgh of the leg is alright though.
the left guys arms look strange. the gun points in another direction than his arms and shoulders. They would lead the barrel into a different direction.
Now, the problem is.. if you let the gun point where is arms do to, he and the other cop will shoot in a crossed angle.
hope you understand what i am saying, cya |

I reckon the guy on the right should be standing up straight rather than leaning forward so that he's more balanced. He also should have his arms more extended. I don't know how all people shoot their pistols, but I'd expect that you wouldn't have your arms relaxed when you're trying to make an accurate shot. |

Some guys lean forward and some guys don't. Some people hold both arms straight out and others don't. Each person has a diferent stance as each person is different. Its no coincidence that in practical pistol shooting the stance and grip are at the shooters discression.
When you actually give shooting a try you may discover your stance isn't all that disimilar from the guy on the right. It is far better to lean into a shot then back away from it. Also if you want an acurate shot, its good to relax!
Thanks for the feedback - I'll post an update on the weekend. |
