This is what I have so far. I know there is a lot left to do, but I'm hoping that there is enough to comment on.

She looks great so far. I'm no expert, but I have a problem with her far eye. Shouldn't we be able to see the pupil, at least? She feels a little cross-eyed to me. |

I had more of the pupil exposed, but it didn't look right. Maybe that's just me. |

Hi there. I rekon the pic looks good so far. Just keep going with it. If you're using reference, posting that up would help in critiquing your work.
Make sure you post the finished pic ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Sure thing, here's the reference. And the finished piece will be up as soon as I have time to finish it.

ahh cool
I like how you've changed the lighting scheme. The structure of the face looks pretty spot on to me. Damn, I got nothing to crit except to say just keep going with it! |

the problem with the far eye could become even more disturbing when you have finished the picture.
looking at the reference i suggest you consider taking care of the forehead above the eye. this is what "hides" the far eye so much that it seems natural on the photo but un-natural - until you completed the shade of the forehead - on the pic.
it's simply the strong forehead/deep left eyebrow of the woman's face.
additionaly (i'm lacking the english words to describe it properly) you have made the inner point of her far eye much thinner than the [insert word for the point of the eye where the tears come out here] is on the photo ... furthermore shifting the eye a bit up and adding to the cross-eyed effect.
but a fine artwork so far, i must say. |

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'll probably get to the left (her left) eye tonight and I'll work on that to see if I can sort of neutralize the cross-eyed effect. I'll update the pic when I'm done with that eye. |
