I like the girl and the last one isn`t bad too. But domino needs a little more detail.Especially his cloth needs some folds.

Off to a good start I'll tell you that. I'll just make a few comments since no one seems to be taking the initiative.
First of all, one thing you need to do is try to draw smoother. You honestly need to get a lot more curves into the drawing. Also, that's a lot of ... uncertain drawing..
Be confident of what you are drawing is right and try to use one fluid line to outline most of their bodies... start out with a light pencil, and only darken the areas that deserve a bit more emphasis... for example eyes, or because of lighting direction...
But honestly, they're coming along great... just try to use longer strokes. Also, for the clothing, that's a style I see often. There are actually places where the clothing is pulled and folded, it just isn't a series of peaks on the clothing outline.
With those in mind, I hope to see you do and post more drawings.
I really like the hands!

thanx much EviLToYLeT I'm learning to not use the eraser and be more certain like you mentioned in my work, as for the style of clothes, I love the sharp angles
I'm also inking them digitally in Illustrator so I guess they're basically a template, but I know exactly what you mean, thanx
[edit] oh yeh about the folds I hear ya, will start adding more in the middle and so forth thanx again

Hey lildragon,
I really admire your persistence in getting the suggestions of other members immediately into your work.
Like others, I'm finding your linework to lack confidence. And, your folds are very "soft", they don't really look like clothes. They kinda look like mush No offence of course, I'm just tryin' to help.
I did a quick little edit of one of your characters to try and illustrate how to use more confident lines in creating your folds in the clothing of the character. Hopefully I've helped some..
Keep at it bro!

malice's hips seem strange ... too straight.
your style just isn't meant for pencil drawings.
take a look at http://www.penny-arcade.com/ ... this is the style for your ideas ... your drawings don't want shadings ... so simply don't use pencils.
(reload the page a few times and note the characters on the top-right side)
uncertain lines disappear when doing it digitaly. i realy love malice. good work on her head. |
