lol, sorry bout the large image size.
so far it's just the head, teeth, and eyes.
i'm currently working on the hair by making hair guides and using saslite (the standard lightwave 7 hair plugin) to render the hair. |

JESUS,
Thats the first time I've ever looked at a pic and thought it was looking back at me. Startled me for a second, GREAT detail to the eyes especaly!
Are you going to add any imperfections to the skin? Like moles/freckles? The texture looks AWSOME as it is. But thats the only part of the work that dosent seem natural.
Also, I noticed no eye lashes. But it took me like 5min of staring to see that =)
Keep up the work! |

lol, thanks for the awsome replies. since it's still a wip, i got some work to do with the textures. now that i have the model done, looking all smooth and untouched, i now have to work on making it imperfect in the sense that i gotta add the stuff u said, like a couple of freckles here and there, etc... hehe, funny u didn't notice the eyelashes weren't there immediately. i'm leaving that till later, because i don't know how i wanna tackle that problem yet (if i wanna use polys mapped with transparency maps, or actually recreating them strand for strand). i'm gonna make use of the new "saslite" hair plugin (a lighter version of the sasquatch hair plugin which comes as a standard feature in Lightwave 7). thnx again for the comments really appreciate it. i'll post some updates once i finish up the texturing, and get more into making the facial morph maps. ciao. |

square pictures? hehe, i wish. i'll work on some more renders the next couple of days, and post them. if u want, monkey majick, i'll do different views of the head with the lower lighting. might try a radiosity render soon, but that's gonna come nearer to the end of the completion of this head. thx for the replies
oh yea, monkey, in my last post u asked if i used any references... i did some sketches based on this maybelline model. her name's josie maran.

i think you might want to work on the definition of the chin and the fold thingy under the lip. also the lighting under the nostrils is kinda weird. but like you said its a wip and its looking pretty cool so far. |
