These are all cool, but I think the two extra monsters are visually distracting and add too much color variation. Stick with the one on top and stay within that cool palette. In my H to tha Izzo, of course. |

i'd stick with the first version too. the two monsters distract attention and if you hadn't said these are monsters, i hadn't seen them as monsters. they look more like ornaments around the head. |

it looks like you work on very many layers..
because the horns on the demon figure looks very much like a layer.. try to paint everything on one layer, and the pictures will look better i think |

thnx for the replies
K-RuzH: chrz.. working on it too long it got difficult to choose.. the 2nd one i did just to fill the space around the head.. obviously didn't work ;]
sacrelicious: thnx.. yeah.. that's kinda what i thought.. dunno.. it seems flat atm.. oh well.. was going to be used as a logo.. but the logo didn't turn out too well (i suck at letter design)
gekitsu: yeah.. now i'm just summing up the replies and they confirmed what i first thought.. i wasn't sure if anyone would be able to tell what they were initally.. :]
notic: yeah.. i do.. for this one i had to in a way.. the horns are done with curves (pen tool in painter).. but layers help to fix/update parts without affecting other parts of the pic.. after i'm happy with a pic i flatten it to one layer then smooth parts together to make it look like one.. but yeah i agree i should learn to work with just one layer.. just seems like too much hard work later on (adding hilights to the edges etc).. and multiple layers are faster for me anyways as i'm using a mouse ;]
well thnx for the suggestions ppl.. being honest not sure where to go from here.. i would like some sort of border.. one of those fancy borders with skulls and demons etc ;D
atm i'm trying to merge it into another pic for a music disk i'm helping out with.. not going too well there either.. once i'm done i'll post the results here (not that anyone's bothered but i'll keep on torturing u all with my art (?)) =]
thnx again guys
