Here's a render of a character I've been working on lately, his name is Ray and yes.. he's a super hero of sorts.
More info at http://3d.davidtitusproductions.com
Feedback is welcome of course.

I think Ray looks great! At first (from the still) I tought that his cape did look very "fabrick-like" but after seeing the animation I think it looks awesome...Keep it up...I've book marked your site, looking forward to seeing more of your work...I'd really like to see the mesh, it would be great if you could post a shot

Thanks for the feedback.
I've added some images to the site that show Ray's underlying mesh, feel free to take a peek.
Also, regarding the environment map on the gun... it will be an actual raytraced ref map when the time comes, but that all-white environment the reflection didn't look terribly convincing.
Glad you like Ray, keep an eye on the site he should get updated often.

i have to agree with poprockz - that spiderman like mask is not doing your character the justice it deserves.. but other than that its cool as hell

looks great.. though i'm have a bit trouble with the environment map on the gun. But the real environment is ofcause white.. so I guess a raytraced reflection would look kinda odd.
just a little hint.. apply a meshsmooth to the cloth to prevent the low poly look. Just on top of the stack and it will look just nice, without having to rerender the cloth simulation.
Or use similar techniques if you using something other then max. |

Very nice
I agree about the mask tho and having seen the goggles on the site i like them better.
... but the are rather smaller so the face looks a bit empty.
Perhaps go kinky and add a gas mask or mouth piece or something?
