well i was scanning through some older scetch books and found this pic that my friend had draw of like just the head and so i wnet and finished it and now am painting it and will post a pic of that in about an hr so here is the scanned version if any1 would like to have a stab at it and i know i fixed up his left knee in the painting

well heres my first ever digital painting all done with mouse (no pen yet) so C&C plz tell me what i need to do/improve thanx

could you please post smaller images? it's a bit hard to see the entire image at this size, and it might take a long loading time on slower connections.
anyway- i think the sketch looks good, but you should clean your lines a bit before coloring it.. maybe use a vector-based program (freehand/flash/illustrator/..) to ink it..
when coloring- try starting with flat colors and basic shading- defining the different planes and then moving on to smoothing the areas which may require smoothing, and defining materials and texture. |
