hello. i've just been coming up with a rough sketch for a painting. this is (part of) the idea i had in my head. this is mainly practice on backgrounds and drawing people from behind
but i want to add in another girl elf in a sexy pose in the foreground, like she's tempting him to come with her, but i don't see how i can do that and still keep the composition allright. if i did that then you wouldn't really see the weird cave/tree in the BG.
also, does anyone have any ideas as to what kind of guy it could be. i would make it a typical ol' knight, but i mean geez, i draw them so much, i want to draw some other costume. my original idea was maybe an explorer, or someone modern day who happened to stumble across this fantasy land deep within the forest.
also, i don't know wether to do this in acrylics or in Painter.
you'll need to copy and paste for it to work, sorry http://www22.brinkster.com/liserstudios/wip-deepforest.jpg
put www before 22 if you need to copy this

any ideas or C&C would be greatly appreciated |

Yikes...
I can't see the image.
Check this place out: http://gnarg.slackworks.com/MTimages/
That way I can see it. Brinkster doesn't allow direct linking. |

Hmmm. Its looking like a good start as far as I can tell. I was thinking the outfit of a bard type fellow--not a dunce cap, but more a green costume with several pieces. Donno...
As far as adding another woman, what if you had the man leaning against that tree (instead of leaning out), and shift his entire body to the right a bit. Then add another woman coming up behind him, maybe putting her arm on his back. Also, I'm thinking you'd need to make the tree on the right thick enough to extend off the page if you added that much detail to the left.
Here's what I mean. http://gnarg.slackworks.com/MTimages/idea.jpg
I did that in like 6 minutes (no exaggeration) so it looks like crap, but you can see what I mean at least.
Slick work... |
