This is definitly a work in progress. I spent about an hour on this...but I wanted to get dome advice about painting on the computer. (painting at all in general too)
I go to college for animation and always did great in drawing and anatomy classes....but my painting was very poor. I dont know what it is about painting....working in layers of paint, mixing the paint (can never get the shade I want)...(on the computer working in layers in photoshopwith colors).
I have an eye when it comes to proportion and value but, I have a bit of trouble mixing colors...dont know why.
Anywho...I just bought an aiptek graphics tablet (I know everyone says buy wacom) but I check the specs of both tablets and the one I bought has everything a inuos2 has (except 512 levels of sensitivity instead of 1024) for only $90!
So, I did this to test it out. This is not a peace of art, just a test of my painting abilities with a tablet. So far, I hate the damn thing....I would rather use a mouse. I feel odd writing with a piece of plastic on plastic. I cant feel the bumps and ridges that paper and graphite have.
Anyway, here is the pic and give me some feed back. Please I would like some advice. Last post I did (which was in the wrong place I think) Hardly got any feed back at all.

the proportions look about right, but the drawing itself is too soft. decide where you're going to go with your edges as you're drawing it. also varie the brush sizes. |
