first thing i noticed was that you use a pretty limited value range. that's not necessarily a problem at all, but once you've got all your middle tones set out, try throwing in some dark shadow areas + cast shadows for depth. for the land side image, the grass you have going up top looks way too big and bright. some reference images would be a good idea. you'll probably notice a fine grain with some color\tone changes spread throughout at such a distance. the rocks look nice. maybe scatter some grass around those areas, too? |
