Ach, very much still in progress, but what can I say... Do you see any major flaws? I'm surprised that this actually is kind of looking like me ::shrugs::

Looks pretty good, I rather like how you did the eyes. I am kind of thinking you need a neck though, it looks a bit more like you chopped off the head and put it on a torso that you had sitting in your closet somewhere or something like that. Those raised bits under the nose (have no idea what they are called though I know I saw it in a previous thread somewhere sorry!) look a bit too defined but I don't know mayhap that is correct. I think your hairline is a bit high up but I don't really know I don't see your reference picture so it may really look like that. I know I have an odd head myself too eep! (hmm, I suddenly feel like I'm being insulting sorry again!) Ok, back to crit hrmm ... I think you need to work a bit more shadows onto the shoulders they look a bit flat and not curved. I think a little more work needs to go into the bone structure around the eyes, they don't look quite "receded" into the face or some such. Good work though, it is looking really good! Ok, time to go make a fool of myself somewhere else i.e. finishing my homework ...

Thanks for the tips... I didn't use a ref pic... I used a mirror. I find that to be more useful than a dull photograph that doesn't capture the lighting. I'm currently thinking about backgrounds and what I want. Certainly not my messy room

I've spent the last few hours working on the background... not much more work on the face, but I'll get around to it.

(returns from failed homework attempt) Wow, like the cloudy background looks really cool. Kind of prefered the skin tones from your original pic but then again I guess I just like the painted porcelain dollish kind of look. Ignore me, it is late, I'm babbling, I need sleep/coffee. Toodles! ... I need a good mirror here grr ...
