Just been watching Forces of Nature and after it had finished I was looking at the night sky and watching the stars.
Which brought me to something I occasional think about. Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone, a soul mate?
Myself I don’t know I would like to think so though... |

I hope so, I sure hope so.
But as a young and mildly depressed person as myself it can feel quite the opposite at times...well, all the time...but there still is hope... |

Greetings! First off, Thank you Fireheart for telling me about this forum :-)
Ahh Soulmates, one of the things I truly believe in.
There are many facets of a soulmate as was just said, you can have a soulmate who is like another self of you, someone who has the same interests and passions. That can go along with someone you feel love for or just a pure friendship. And the feelings you have for someone can change, turning from friendship to love, or vice versa, which doesn't change the soul, but just how you portray it being seen & felt, as well as how it is portrayed to others.
If you look at the 'inner soul' of a person, you can feel things that you wouldn't generally be able to actually see. Goes for alot who have friends online. People tend to be more honest and open in sharing feelings with others when they are not being seen. You can find alot about another person by listening and not judging. When you can finally 'see' what the other person is like, alot of the time you get that wonderful feeling that you have found a part of yourself, which is a soulmate.
A soulmate who you also love is precious in itself, and as it is for everything in this universe, there are many facets to love. But..lol, that is another subject!
Umm.. I can ramble on at times... :-) |

Emmy!! *pouncetacklehuggles Emaleth* glad you made it here
Wow that’s pretty deep what you said above and I agree that with you that there can be many different facets for soul mates (such as friendship or love, etc).
I must admit that I've noticed that many people are more open with their feelings when they are online. I suppose it has something to do with anonymity that the Internet allows them. |

Ooofffff! Heh heh Having fun here posting! Yep, I do have many people who I consider Soulmates.. just different for each one.
And about being more open, although I am that way in person, I do agree about some feeling more confident along with being able to 'describe' more in words where they might not have the confidence to do it in front of someone, which goes along with body language and all. You tend to get more reserved, especially when that person you are talking with face to face portrays themself aloof, or not interested, etc. Online you generally can 'feel' what the other person is talking about.
And not saying all is good, there is bad with the good in everything. |
