Here's a little 2DCG that I've been trying. As it WIP, the character is still just scribbled in. The character is actually one of the things I'm having issues with. I want him to be visible, but integrate well into the scene. Any ideas? Of course, any other crits/suggestions are welcome

Very cool image! I really dig the linework. My largest problem with it is the gradient you have going under the tree. I could be wrong, but I think it should be lighter near the tree and fade out to the distance and towards the camera rather than brighten up. As for how to show the character, thats a toughy.. you could simply not use colors on him and simply paint his chromatic values using varying yellows within the beam tho. Its worth experimenting on. Hope you post updates! |
