Hello all,
Im new to this board, but I like the level of works and critics. I thought, I post samples of my work. Im currently exploring the limits of painter to imitate traditional media. As there are so many talented and experienced people on this board, I would like to hear your opinion. Thanks in advance.
(They are not completely finished, but like someone stated: Images are never finished. They just stop in interesting places. - sorry for the bad translation)
Ist it okay for you if I post 2 images at a time?
Image was not showing. Im trying a different server. Hope thing will work now.

Your picture isn't showing..
I did manage to see it though, by copying its address and pasting it into a new IE window.
I don't think www.answerz.org offers 'Hotlinking' to your pictures or files.
Anyway I saw it and thought it was interesting. Very artistic. Expressive use of colour and line. I'm geussing you did it in painter, even without you saying. I don't really like it all that much, but I don't really like that sort of thing myself. I do however see a lot of potential. I like the textural feel of the whole image. The background is nice. Maybe think a little more about colour next time. Try some complimentary colours. I found that some of the colours just didnt seem to fit in.
The colours and values of the background really worked quite well.
I like those squiggly lines, they work quite well. You have used them minimally, and I think that was wise. You should keep that in mind, I can see problems if you over squiggle, because they have the potential to overpower everything.
Welcome to the board!
I hope that helped. |
