Man, I'm posting more in Random Musings this week than I have in my whole time here, I think.

Yeah. Well. This is for anyone in Vancouver. I'm moving at Christmas, so I'm selling pretty much everything I own. Anyone who wants a 17" monitor, a 486 laptop (dirt, dirt cheap), a SCSI scanner, an old Pentium computer, a bookcase, a coffee-table, a piano, a book, a cowboy hat, a really comfortable chair, an oak table w/2 chairs, a cool and nifty lamp, or anything of that sort...is more than welcome to it. I'm afraid I'm not selling the computer, monitor, scanner or laptop I actually USE until just before I move. But the table's really nice. *Nods* Yep.

Oh, yeah--I have a punching bag, lots of boxing equipment, and a huge-ass birdcage, too. And a stuffed Ratbert.

You never realize just how much TRASH you've accumulated till you start having to get rid of it.

Hi!

I hail from your area and might be interested in the laptop (portable Doom *drools*) and/or the scanner. I'm afraid I probably wouldn't be able to spend more than $50/$60 since I just depleted my 'putah budget (/me lovingly strokes his new Geforce2).

I live out in Coquitlam but could probably reach whereever you live (downtown?) no prob.

...would give me a good excuse to get an autograph from one of my fav artists anyway.

Heh...$50/$60 is fine for the laptop--it might require a few minor repairs, and you'll probably have to reinstall Windows. It really isn't a brilliant machine. It does, however, come with a power cord and carrying case, and some software on CDs. (Games and stuff.)

The scanner is a really old Hewlett Packard SCSI model. So if you have a newer computer, you should make sure it supports SCSI first. Most scanners now are plug & play.

Yeah, I'm downtown--if you're interested, e-mail me ([email protected]) or give me a call (879-2136). I'll be home (most of the time) all weekend.

Awetopsy--If you want the monitor, make an offer. It's 5 years old, so I'm not going to ask an arm and a leg for it. But it's in perfect working order if you want it. So, whatever you think is fair....

I'm moving to Sweden. Can't take any electronic stuff with me, because of the voltage issues.

immi--Well, I've got a free-standing punching bag--the kind you fill the base with water and stand it on the floor--hardly used--it cost $250, so maybe $100. It's in perfect condition. I also have padded boxing gloves (the big round kind, weighing about a pound each), practice gloves (the unpadded kind) and body pads of every sort (except head protection.) But it's all for a very small person--me--so if you're a 6-foot man, it probably won't do you much good. If you do want it, though, all the gloves and pads and stuff are $50.

Chris - Upright piano, Yamaha...46 or 47 inches tall...can't remember exactly. It's a very nice piano, though--mellow tone, light action...hardly been played. (Unfortunately, this also means it needs tuning, but that's easy enough to do.)

Dthind--I'm moving to Sweden at Christmas, with my boyfriend. He's Swedish. The rats will either come along (if there's no quarantine), or be donated to a local breeder.
