This gasmask guy is "Otto", a character model recently posted on the polycount forums. While I did not design him, I decided to do some concepting before embarking on a model skin (texture) to fill in the details.
Crits appreciated, of course. One thing I did notice only after I had finished drawing, is that the perspective on the upper body seems to not match that on the lower. Any comments or help? Drawing lines on my pic is always welcome...

Yeah, seems his lower body is a bit short for his upper body. Also, what I noticed, is that his right shoulder is wider than his left. |

hmm his elbows are bothering me though.. his bicept shouldn't be so tight since the palms of his hands are facing down.. other than that i think its a great pic |

Great technique, but the legs are different length. No, even foreshortening or whatever does not make up an excuse for it =).
Great comic-art style!
As an off-topic rambling, so many great sketchists and outline artists try to colour their stuff and funck it up greatly by flat lighting or just plain bad lack of skill. I am not implying anything, Jzero, just talking about some other pics I've seen. |
