this is my second attempt at digital art, this time i decided to go for a sci-fi theme so i dug up an old drawing i did when i was 13 and scanned it into the computer.
its not quite finished as you can see but for just using the mouse im pleased with the level of detail i was able to put into it, all it needs now is a background that corrosponds to the lighting on it, any advice?

well i posted it on both forums because i thought i would get a greater response what with it usually being so quiet on these forums.
anyway as i said, its not finished at all, took me about 2 1/2 hours to get that amount of work done and still i left out a couple of untouched sketch.
i see what you mean about the lighting so ill try to even that out, i was thinking of placing a fire off to the right of the picture, but i find it very hard to add things light that with only a mouse.
as for the sketch i was only 13 when i did it, plus it was done with just a biro pen

well, it looks really good, except for the white background, I mean come on, I don't think a giger alien would ever be in that much light! change it to black, and then you will be able to see how to fix the lighting once you get that done. Post it again when you work on some more, I really like it.

please do not post the same thing in both the the 'work in progress' and 'gallery/finished' forums? If its a work in progresspost it here. If its finished post it in gallery finished. notice that none of us do this. when we are working on something and get stuck we come to this forum and post for help. then when we are finished we post over in Gallery.

as for the picture I think you really need to work on your lighting. It looks like different lights are illuminating different body parts which makes it akward.

the drawing itself is fairly decent.
