Love the shadowing around the lower part of the face.
Ears are up a bit high, unless his face is tilted forward. If thats the case, I don't see the tilt.
Somefin funky about the nose.
Keep'em come'n, I should do this everyday also. Where are you getting your models from?

Your pics are really nice I like portraits a lot too.
What type of finish are you going for? Since they're exercises, I assume that you're not looking to refine and detail it. If this is the case, try some directional hatching. It's really great at defining form and helps in understanding the planes of the face. Sorta like how Micke throws in a bit of hatching here and there.
I hope you didn't find this condescending, I was just trying to offer an idea.
