Hey I just got a new wacom drawing pad for my b-day and here's what I made. It took me about two days, first with the sketch, then with the colors. I am not very good with shading so any suggestions would be helpful. The Light is *supposed* to be coming from the top right.
I plan on putting him in front of a castle gate or something, as if he is a sentry or guard.

Comments, Suggestions?

The first thing that's important for you to do is start to learn anatomy and practise figure drawing from life. For anatomy, study Loomis: http://www.yoyodyne.net/loomis/index2.html
That's the definitive text on figure drawing. For live models, people at school, or at the mall will do. Practise practise. Always think in terms of shape, not outline. FEEL the bulk and shape of the objects you look at. Good luck, and welcome to the forum.
