I was sifting through a box (getting ready for
a garage sale) and I found a GIJOE magazine,
you know the ones about the size of an Archie
comic. I loved the cover of Snake-eyes. So
I thought I would give it a whorl. I did
change it to give a different touch and
compostion, but it is essentially the same
image.Hope you like it.
This was fun, anyone else want to paint your
favorite GIJOE character? POST 'EM.
If anyone cares how I did it here is a screen
shot of it in progress.
PS This is dedicated to Snake-eyes, you know who you are.

Want to know something REALLY scary?? I drew this picture a long time ago (mid 80's) just messing around. I'll look around for it and see if I can find it. Oh, and I wouldn't let this comic go in the garage sale either, it is worth a little bit of money seeing as it is the only Joe comic to be published without any dialogue. Time to go start hunting that picture down.. I'll post it if I find it. Great job on this btw.

OK...thought I knew where it was and I was right. Please don't judge me on this, it was done in 89 and I was 12 I feel old now, thanks alot! I just thought it was funny that someone else had done the same picture.

Thanks guys for the comments.
Dryfire: I hope you found them, I've been
acting like a kid and played with mine last night. I've kept all of mine for moments like
these.
Bishop_six: Yeah, now that you mention it is is kinda wonkie.
PuchDewd: Worth something eh? there was no way I was going put this in the sale. It has the best story in it. Love the pic. I did this fun one for two reasons
1. I love the character.
2. Love the pose, Reminds me of Joe Quesada's covers. simple but impactful.
p.s. your not old, we're in the same gen. and we have just experianced some of the classics.

Oh yeah, GI Joes are the best. Yo Joe! I have that comic book, too. I like the picture, but his right(our left) arm looks a little short. I think it's going pretty well, though. |
