Here is something im working on right now. I never have really painted in PS, just colored stuff. This is a mix of that.
The obvious things wrong here are the arms anatomy/proportion the brest area is a little whacked. Any insights on how to fix these without doing a major overhaul would be great. Let me know what you think.. Don't be too cruel... hehe..

All I have to say about this is, it's very, very, very F*n cool! I was gonna do some mechanical wings on something on working on... i'll make mine different though. Personnaly i don't think there's anything wrong with you anatomy, it's a nice posture, also the breast area, it just looks like the 'clothing' is kinda tight, and restricting, so there's no problems there. I think you should keep the legs how you have them with the black lines, not the pink, looks like a more solid and balanced stance. I also love the lighting in this piece. Already looking kinda mystical.
I look forward to its completion
[edit] Actually on the legs, have the left most black line, and the right most pink line, with the legs slightly parted, that would look much better.

Neat! I also like the wings, and the lighting that you're working out.
As for quickie anatomy fixes- Her left shoulder is looking a wee bit pointy compared with her right. Either way is fine, but they should match a little better.
Where the line work is indicating the tuck and fold of the pecs into the shoulder region, the lighting flattens it right back out. Following the shape more closely here will help a lot.
There seems to be a "twist" in the upper torso within the ribcage. This strikes me as painful The impression is that the breasts & solar plaexus are hanging to the right, but the supports for the wing indicate the the rib cage should be twisted to the left. There is also a bit too much distance between the breasts, they should help to define the upper torso rotation. If she is twisted to her right, then we should see a little bit of the lateral muscle on her left side, or if she's that big chested, then her breasts should be much bigger.
Its a really nice start. I can't wait to see the finished product! It reminds me of Shirow's stuff. You wouldn't be a fan of his with a name like Briareos, would you? |

frostfyre: wow, I was hoping for no overhauls. But I will read your reply a few more times and see if I can fix some of what your saying. And yes Sensei Shirow is God.. hehehe (have you seen GITS2? OMG!!)

hehe thats great man, really nice concept. The neck does seem a little long though, and i agree with frost that her left shoulder is a bit pointy. And hmm the toso is a bit too long but its hard to really define where it ends without the legs drawn more.
Nice pic though, i'm awaiting to see what it looks like when its done |
