In the next two months I have a task to develope a serie of strips. The image below is one of many sketches done so far...
The design task is to make a believeable ecoligical environment in an unknow future. It should be intriguing, give some sort of lust for the future, and at the same time also show a vision ...like...hey, I wanna be there and experience this!
The main task therefore, you could say, is to develope strong images that show an ecological life in the future.
Now, the problem is, how do one achieve the unseen and at the same time make it believeable and convincing? The problem is real...how do we describe our future in a positive way? And can we do it in images? I fully understand that the designproblem is extremly hard to reach and very complex.. at the same time we are talking about images or scenography...why did for example Blade runner give birth to real buildings for us to experience today?
The image has an impact onto our reality... How can I achieve this in small strips?
Any suggestions or theories? |
