A head I been tweaking with and finally got enough courage to post it. :P
Something is wrong with the lighting I think.

It's really very good!
A few comments: you have the same problem everybody has with rendering skin, the highlights turn yellow. Try to counteract this by making the specularity a bit bluish, and maybe the ambient a bit reddish, you get the idea. There are other ways but that would do to start with. The eyes need to be shinier, and more shaded toward the top of the eyelid, and to the outer corners. I usually cheat this by explicitly somehow making these places darker (not relying on real shadow to appear where I want it). |

Briareos! I really like it!
Most of the heads posted here are trying to hard to be photorealistic that they forget to add personality to the characters. This chick has definitly got personality. She reimnd's me of MAgrat Garlik for Terry Pratchett's novel Wyrd Sisters (or other discworld novels). Keep up the great work!

Hi there..nice head!
My crits would be, upon first glance, is that her skin needs translucency, as now it kind of looks a bit like stone, perhaps add a small amount of self illumination in addition to what Steven mentioned? (Ye can't get better advice than from Steven on this hehe). Also, her eyes seem flat to me..and I would also like to see more definition in the eyelids, lower lids since they almost look painted on.
Other than that...a great head to work from.

I agree with all the others--good stuff.
I think the bump map on her skin is a tad too deep, and . . . she looks surprised. Also, I think the nose should get a little flatter towards the brow line. . . IMHO |

hey, nice texturing on the great underhat and the leather one
I notice though that the eyes seem a lil to far spread apart and the nostrils should be more visible..
nice texturing overall, make sure you post the body when its done |

look at these eyes - i think shes smoking herbs.
i really like it, especially the lips. they are looking very realistic! but i cant see any eyelids. perhaps you should increase them. |
