I like this... you've achieved that charcoal "look" quite nicely. One question: Did you create your own brushes? |

As a newbie to these forums, I figured I should jump right in and show you all what I'm currently playing around with.
Digital Charcoal Portrait
I'm really interested in getting photoshop to emulate natural media - especially since my copy of painter doesn't seem to like my win2000 set up here at work...
And, of course, any and all comments, suggestions, etc. are very welcome. |

Thanks, guys. As for the brushes I used - that pic was done mostly with the standard 20 pixel light pastel and thin pencil brushes that ship w/ Photoshop 6.
However, I did block in a lot of the background with a customized version of the 64 pixel light pastel brush. If memory serves, I added a noise filter to it, and set the pressure to 10% or so. |
