Hey people. I'm still trying to teach myself...I think I'm getting better, just slowly. Anyways, here's something I'm working on at the moment, just finishing up the face. I actually had painted in the rough background with the mountain and all that, but it didn't really look right, so I took it out. So please provide any comments or crits or suggestions you may have on the current state of it, I'd appreciate it

You deffinently got your painting method down. What kind of software are you using? So far, the only way I can paint in that style is with Corel Painter's oil pastel brush. I'd just say that you need to work on your facial anotomy. Maybe you should add dirt, blood, stuff like that, something you'd expect from a war. Other than that though, it's pretty good.

um you might want to thuink about wheather he is in a field or in some sort of foliage because it was very bright in the fields and alot darker in the forests

you also might wanna make his clothes a bit more worn and comfortable like put a green towel around his neck and like some rusted dog tags around his neck and basically more deatail there in generall
