yeah, i need a lot of help with this one, I am looking for some help on the umm chest section and shading on the legs, yeah i know i have a lot of problems with lighting but i'll smooth it out later, all comments/suggestions are welcomed.
yeah, this is a remake of an older pic... i did this from my memory of the old one

I think your biggest problem is that you've drawn the chest-muscles (pectoralis major) independently from the arms. They link to the shoulder around the Deltoid.
Check your anatomy and how the chest-arm junction works, and you'll see that fixing that will very much help your pic.

While that's a good idea, there's a reason for doing that style. It's sort of like super-deformation or exaggeration. The reason you'd make one eye bigger is to stress that one is much closer to the camera/viewer than the other. It's perfectly acceptable, especially in comic-style art, to draw the nearer eye three or four times as large as the far one.
The problem in your image is that the far eye is about 50% larger than the near eye. The direction you have the head turned in implies that his left eye is nearer, yet it appears smaller.
That's the problem - not that they're out of proportion or that there's anything wrong with that style, but that the reason behind the style isn't there.
That's the only real problem I see, and it was the first that I noticed when I looked at it. Try flipping the eyes around - make the near one bigger (closer) than the other, and it'll look fine. |
