I hate to sound like I'm plugging, but what I'm actually looking for is some honest critiques on my style and method. The url is:

http://www.geocities.com/nearsightedcomic

I actually intend this to be a 'test run' more or less, to see if I can get comfortable with the format and methods of comic strips. I'm using Photoshop for pretty much everything (well, I pencil and ink, then scan, and then it's PS) and, while I like the results, I'd like to look into Illustrator to do things in vectors for a cleaner look.

Any comments/critiques/suggestions/flames are absolutely welcome.

1. don't have the sections open in a new window.... its anoying.
2. make the image quality higher on the strips... i hate jpeg distortion
3. ditch geocities... they suck major horse cock. got a host that doesn't have banners, like www.f2s.com

other than that, great site

1> Hopefully, when I move to either my server or to Keenspace, I'll be able to handle that aspect better. I guess that's just me, I like to open up different links in new windows...

2> This is why I want Illustrator. My biggest problem is making things a decent filesize right now.. the images are still >100k and take a while for people on dialups. My most recent one looks awful, I'll probably re-save and re-upload it.

3> Don't worry, I plan on it. Like I said, this is more or less a 'test run,' to see what kind of reaction I get out of it, and to see whether or not it'll be worth getting a domain name for and all.

What I was hoping for was, perhaps, some critiques/comments about the actual artwork, and maybe some suggestions on how I can improve it? My biggest problem now is that each strip takes sooo incredibly long for me to do. On average, I spend about 7-8 hours on each one, which, since I do them in my spare time, means that I don't do very many of them.
