I haven't been able to draw for a while now and it sucks... I posted this pic on the spider-man thread, but I would appreciate any comments about either improving it or some general tips

Looks good, man. Lemme go through my checklist, just to get all the finer finer "finer" points

Anatomy's looking good, though you might wanna flatten his pecs a bit to steer away from the appearance of breast implants

Composition's also looking nice. Got some foreground, middleground, and ....d'oh, no background. Oh well, looks good anyway. If you want a background, maybe a brick wall or alleyway? I dunno, it's ENTIRELY up to you.

Poses look okay. I mean, hell, it's better than I can pose figures. Though, if I was punching someone, I'd be looking at him, y'know? Just to make sure I hit him. Also, in the motion of his fist, it looks like he just smacked Venom with the side of the fist instead of the knuckles. Though, if that's what you were going for, then bravo, man. You did an awesome job on the transparent motion

One final thing. It kinda looks like Venom is standing with his chest toward the viewer, like he's ignoring Spidey's hits. Great if this was your intent, but if you are going for the standard Venom-getting-his-ugly-ass-smacked-up-by-Spidey pose, I'd suggest putting some highlights on his back so that you know he's facing Spidey and getting his shit knocked out.

Just some suggestions, though. It's looking awesome already. WAAAAY better than anything I could do right now. Good job, man. Keep it up

Actually, Venom is facing the viewer, and is barely annoyed by nerdy Peter's attempt to throw a backstabbing punch
What can I say, I like Venom
