Bleh? Well I dunno. I don't really like this. It bores me. And the helmut really scares me But it is always good to see a fellow artist playing, or trying out new ideas. Keep at it. |

It's just a 15 minute sketch, it's not exactly supposed to inspire you. ![](images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) |

I like it I like the mood of the colours, body and the b/g are cool. Maybe if the head/helmet had more bigger areas of shadow to make it look more solid? |

Don't know what the complaining is about. It seems good to my petty little eyes. Sure the lines aren't straight or the form is not perfectly defined, but it's still a nice sketch. Eh, I like it. |

Wow, I didn't expect to get any more responses to this...
Jucas - I didn't mean to sound snappy in my response to your post if I did, it was late and I was grumpy when I wrote it. I just don't feel that blatantly saying you don't like my work is constructive critism, seems to be more hurtful than anything else. It's ok if you don't like it, but maybe you could be more specific so I can try and do something better next time?
TheMilkMan - Thanks for the crit, I'm trying to draw the figure a lot more these days. It's a major weakness for me... I guess it takes hundreds of these little guys to make me even halfway decent at this stuff.
Vesuvius - What do you mean by SA?
Cos - Thanks, I'm glad you like. I think I will do a few more of these until it gets better.
Frost - Thanks
*is still shocked this got any replies at all* hehehe... |

Beth,
Great painting technique, but yeah the underlying anatomy needs work, probably why you said 'Blech'. I do that sometimes..I'll finish something that I wasn't totally happy with..which is why it is important to not rush the painting stage...but you've got a great painting technique and good ideas..so perhaps if you wanted to fix this, just do it over...probably would be awesome.

I think it looks pretty good, your shading is a bit heavy and his face appears kinda flat, but other than that, good attempt! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
