Here is a beholder inspired eye creature that still needs some work.
The original is huge so here's the scaled down version.
As always this was done with PS and mouse.

That's actually very, very good. I really like. Three comments;
. Do try to give him at least the hint of an environment in the final version.
. Some muted reflections onto the eye (primarily from the claws) would help a lot there.
. The black part of the pupil looks too far from the center of the iris. I know the iris is convex, but not -that- much I wouldn't think.
Keep going though, it's great work for mouse.

Excellent work, especially for a mouse. Er, I mean especially for using a mouse that is. I like the reflections on the eye
Aw, the poor guy has no eyelid. Think he'd be mad if I blew dust off and old book into his eye?
Jeesh, my eyes started to water just thinking about that. |

Hmm, very nice Could you include a small area of the picture in it's original resolution? |

DiXter: I'm glad it appears slimy.
I didn't draw it with the mouse only painted it with the mouse.
My drawings are still done with pencil and paper.
Sumaleth:
Thanks. The background will definitely be there. I'll be doing that last but I need to think of what to do for it.
Reflections and adjusting of the upper claws will be done.
I never noticed that about the eye but thanks for making me aware of it.
Gimbal8:
lol Thanks. Yeah that would really irate this creature. Makes him all the more dangerous.
ReXX:
Sure here is the original resolution.
I zoomed in alot when adding all those little details.

Looking good Raist, it does appear hovering and looks pretty intimidating. Just needs more of a lightsource ,and the whole pic is looking a little flipped right now.. maybe you could make some of the tentacles on one side like they are raising up some more??
And a guy with your talent should buy a frikkin pen man! |
