Here is the new background idea and getting a little into detail work. Would love to hear some crits and comments. Thanks

the character is sweet but he doesnt seem to fit with the background.

ok to explain, this started out just as a doodle and then i really liked the character, so I decided to try and put in a background.
edible if you have any suggestions I would be glad to hear them, sacreligous was the only comment I got he first time and we kinda thought a post apocolyptic type background so I'm trying that out. Keeping the figure on a different layer so I can change the background.
