Greetings fellow artists, this seems like a nice forum (had trouble getting registered tho).

Anyhow, I seek some feedback on 2 images in progress...

A cityscape I'm having trouble with, I'll add banners, signs, vehicles and so but I can't decide what textures and detail to use on the building surfaces. Should I be bold and use colored buildigs?

This is just a quick conceptsketch of some floating isle-worlds (Flash Gordon type). The isle at the top looks odd, is it colorbalance or what?

man.. those are going to be great when they are finished. i'm assuming that the light-valued shadows are only a process thing. the end should have real darks in them. i think colored buildings would not be a stretch as long as you keep them in moderation. a hot pink building would hurt a lot (well, hot pink hurts many things ). post later versions of these when they are done, k?

Those are WorldCraft perspective reference models I made for, well, perspective reference
I will paint them over with details and more artistic shadings of course.

I think you could get away with colored buildings, but keep them cool and not too saturated. I checked out your website too- you have a lot of awesome work! I look forward to seeing more of your stuff.
