Though a few things: When the movie loaded up I saw the 2 guys for like half a second before the psychedelic main splash screen came... Also, on one question [I answered something with "cranberry"] the puking guy did not show up :P

Might wanna have a little variation with what happens with that blue guy. Always puking gets boring after a while, and the correct animation is pretty much the same as the puking thing, except for the puking :P

but it still gets a ROOFLE from me :P [I'm easily amused]

oh i know about all that, i was hoping people wouldnt pick that answer. but it was due monday, and i started it at 12 on sunday night. if it was an actual game i would of course make variations. maybe different animations for the different foods or something. but its for school.. too much work already.

It's the same title with one word different, its the same color-range AND shape of the character with shorter legs. It's the same concept of feeding it with the result of vomiting, and its done in the same medium. What the hell is wrong with you people? This is a blatent ripoff. Everyone I've talked to about it has agreed.

I am personally offended and hope that you get what's coming to you soon enough.

And if you claim you haven't seen it before, snowman, that's even harder for me to believe. Infact, I DON'T believe that.

In anycase, being that he went to synj's site so much, its easy guess that he would have been influenced by it...but the whole setup...and even the damn name is the same...jesus.

I am unsure how the whole Coca-cola coporate thing really relates...its entirely different, synj has a fairly distinct style, one that he has developed over time...why should he not have whatever feelings he wishes about others imitating him? Would you really like people copying you if you had a unique style? Oversaturation...

Anyone can try and whip out quick copies, but even though the characters are simple in nature...there are so many subtle things going on, most miss that...


As for synj being an asshole...yeah maybe he is, but damn he's funny as fuck, and that goes a long way. He makes me want to wiggle :~~~~~~

my god. ok the arguments presented against edible here are:

1) his character is a copy of synj's.
within this argument is that they're the same color or color scheme or something of the sort.




2) They both have the same content.

This supposed copied content consists of the character being fed food, and then regurgitating it. First off, it seems to be that synj somehow thinks that he created this concept. As much as i respect synj as a person and especially as an artist, i must point out that this a common occurence in everyday life.
Also if you had read Edible's comments, you may have noticed his mention that this was for a school project related to food. If he wants to make something funny, there are only SO many possible ways to make food funny.
A) make food move around and talk
B) put food on people (which synj has done in one of his animations)
C) Barf (which you are accusing edible of copying)
D) crap (which I assume you would accuse him of copying if he had used that.)

It's very likely that Edible went through a process of elimination and eliminated A becuase food is hard to animate, and eliminated B because putting food ON people doesn't relate to his project as well as having the food go THROUGH people.

As to the use of flash for this specific demonstration. Not only is flash the ONLY program capable of doing this specific project this easily, quickly, and the most easily viewable by his teachers, but it is the only program even remotely capabale of this sort of animation that edible has.

Next, is synj's quote:

how FUCKING big can one person's ego get? Look back at that sentence. You DON'T believe that he has seen that particular animation. SO in this statement you are presuming that he has time to go through your site and look at EVERY little animation and EVERY little game. AND you're assuming that even if he does have time, he CARES enough to do that. I can't speak for him personally, but I can say that that's pretty selfish of you.


Onto the name issue. Consider that you have no title for a game that you have. In the game there are questions and something you call 'a fatty" or "the fatty" that is fed. Now what are some possible names?

A) feed fatty
B) feed the fatty
C) shove food in fatty's face till he pukes
D) give food to the fatty
E) Make the fatty eat
F) quiz game with the fatty

If you get my point, it is a somewhat logical name. I do see the comparison and how you might accuse him of stealing the name (POSSIBLY) but its also very likely that he came up with it himself.

I both respect synj and his art, and also dont care at ALL if he hates me. Just becuase you're more popular, yours might be better, etc. does not make Edible a copier.

Gosh. I don't want to add to these flame wars. I think it's just best to drop the topic. Synj:: you may have a point about him copying it, or you may not. Whatever the case I honestly think it doesn't matter. Imagine how other artists feel when they find their work being passed off by someoneelse as their own. IE .. (bah.. forgot who those idiots.. gabe reiser and binder etc.) Honestly, your character is very simplistic and on first view it seems that perhaps a small kid drew them. But when many of your work is seen..then its clear that it's the style established and meant to be. Honestly, perhaps snowman did opy it... we'll never know, but this rsponse.
