first i would like to say sorry for a longer explination goto ewokes new post.
I am not sure what to add to this because i have no idea what kind of music it is. I always think the cd covers and backs should reflex the personality of the band
Hope that helps

OHH by the way do you need photoshop 6 i have the code if you get a download.

Layout isn't too well balanced. The boxed square looks a bit out of place. I was just messin with it but here's what I came up with. Hope you don't mind an overpaint:

Mike is nice, and try to use actual fonts for the title. Are you going to have the listings on the front of the cover? ..oh wait this is the back..gahh..shoots down my design.
edit: here's what I did.. basically added a blurred translucent background photo. You said it was going to be for the school choir, so have a pic of the choir up there? Anyways, remember what I said about having one focal point so it doesn't distract the reader. (He'll know where to start looking at the cover). Since it's the back cover, I suggest the focal point to be the border with the song listings or listings itself. Not the mike. You can try fading the mike in the background though..that might help..ack..getting carried away here. Sorry
