Well, think about where the light is coming from. If your light is coming from the left-front (ie: left of the 'camera'), then you should also have the light hitting spots on the chest, as well as the feet, and actually, a bit more on certain parts of the face.
If the light is coming from the rear-left, then there should he highlights on his left shoulder and the highlights shouldn't come in as far. Also, the highlights should be hitting the very back of his head.
The human body has lots of places to catch highlights. Just try and imaging where the light wuold actually strike.
I like the composition. |

thanks Curi0us_George
the light should come
from the front left and above
so I'm not sure about the feet
maybe the ligt would hit his right foot
don't you think that the light wouldn't hit his chest because of his arm-and head-shadow
I think I have to take away a bit from the big highlight in his face and add some
over his lips
and on his forehead
I still wondering what shadow his right hand would cast on his face
any help still greatly appreciated

i think there would still be some light hitting his body, i dont think the arm would shadow it that much. |
