my first image im submitting, its kinda weird, don't know where I got the idea from, its for an art practical (high school). The original is 3000 pixels wide, planning on printing it on a rough-ish A3. Anyway, any comments would be very much apreciated
also while your there, those of you using IE could u let me know what you think of the Jscript at my site (www.crosswinds.net/~quintessential/index2.html) it doesn't work in netscape I'm afraid.
thanks |

I'm not going to try and upload the larger pic, its about a meg or so. Personally I think the character doestn't quite feel right, but I can't figure out what's missing.
any comments would be nice. |

man's got abs o' steel. well, you have to to maintain that position for a while... there isn't a sense of drapery... it doesn't look like the figure is actually laying on the blocks. i like the interesting effect of the blocks and especially where the arm thingie enters the water. that is very well done. |

Hmm, I see what you mean with the figure not lying on the blocks, I've played around with it for a while but I don't seem to be able to get it right, any idea on how that might be done?
*apologises for being so profusely stupid*
thanks for the comment |

Where the body meets the blocks, try and show that contact is taking place. The body here is presumably humanlike, so lying on these hard blocks would change the shape of the body, seeing as it is relatively soft in comparison. Arching the lowerback will also give a greater indication of the forces of gravity at work.
