just the latest stuff out of my sketchbook.
i always have a hard time drawing girls, so any advice on females would be very nice.


anyone notice the tycho?

ah, women. fun. ok, judging from your sketches here are a few pointers:
- women are much less angular than men. whereas normally you try to accentuate malsculine rigidity, in drawing females one concentrates on fluidity. don't take the curves too far either.
- from the sketch03.jpg:
on the right: bring up and in the shoulders. thicker upper arms, elbows, and wrists. more top o' the head. thinner neck & traps. the waist should be a bit thicker for realism, but a lot of guys like the waifish sort... just note that the breasts make a "V" with the spinal column. remembering that can help out a lot and also eliminate weird-looking chests.
- you have a great sense of scene and composition judging from sketch04.jpg. is that from reference material or just out of the head?
