Started doodling and this came to life. I'm trying to develop a composition using complimentary colors to convey contrast for an assignment in my Color and Composition class.



I want the background to be an environment that contrasts with the idea and pose of the character. In short, I need a spiffy background. I didn't really put too much thought into the developement of this pic, so post any thoughts you might have on what the finished product should look like.

looks like Dahl sim from street fighter.

I would say a modern building in a downtown metropolis. that would look cool.. with a street corner light and signs and maybe a the top of a "Bar" sign at the lower corner..

anyways,, maybe thats just brain fodder...

I had the same thought as Awetopsy, actually. He kind of looks contemplative, like he's meditating or something. A busy urban scene would be a stark contrast to the peaceful demeanor of the character.
